Stacey "Hot Waxx" Hale, dubbed "The Queen of House", and "Detroit's Dance Music Diva" by the Detroit media, has been reigning over Detroit's dance music clubs and the radio airwaves since 1982. Her name has been deeply imbedded in Detroit dance music for over a decade, where her loyal followers worshipped her turntable finesse at clubs like the legendary Cheeks, Times Square, The Lady and the Warehouse. She has also ruled the Detroit radio airwaves supremely, mixing on WLBS, WGPR, WHYT and live from the Warehouse on WJLB. Currently, she is the Mix Show Coordinator for WDRQ, Detroit's Dance Music Station, where she hosts the "Motor City Mini-Mixx" every afternoon and produces a guest-mixes on the weekend mix show, "The Motor City Mega-Mix". Stacey is the winner of numerous mixing competitions over the years. Stacey , also has many remix credits to her name. She has remixed the Fugess, "Killing Me Softly" which was top 10 on WKQI in Detroit in 1996. She has also done remix projects for top artists such as U-2, Gabrielle, The Bee Gees, Elton John/Ru Paul, K. Hand, along with Eddie Fowlkes and Crystal Gaynor. Stacey "Hot Waxx" Hale also founded and served as President of the Detroit Regional Music Conference, an annual music conference held in Detroit but drawing participants from across the country and know for giving some of the best parties in some the most obscure locations in the city! She now owns "Hot Waxx Productions", her own Productions company and recently began "Movement Music", her own Detroit-based music label.
